  • This position instructs students in a classroom which could include students with educational risk factors, as well as students with special needs.  The ability to form relationships with a wide variety of students and families is essential.  Differentiating instruction for a wide range of developmental needs is required. The teacher must understand students with significant needs and behaviors and how to program for them.  The teacher is responsible for the implementation of the district curriculum in a way that maximizes student learning.  The teacher is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all students within his/her teaching assignment.       
  • Qualifications: 
  • Kansas teaching license with secondary certification and Biology or Agriculture Education endorsement required. Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Agriculture/Science Teacher – Onaga High School

Agriculture/Science teacher

Onaga USD 322 currently has a tentative opening for a part or full-time agriculture education teacher with a science endorsement (or the reciprocal) at Onaga High School for the 2021-2022 school year.  Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Kansas teaching license in agricultural education and already have or are interested in getting a science endorsement.  The district would pay for the cost of a praxis test for the right candidate.

Onaga High School has a strong FFA chapter and an excellent agriculture education department that delivers a diverse, comprehensive and rigorous curriculum.  We offer agriculture education classes (7-12) in six different pathways

Altoona-Midway Schools USD 387 school district provides educational services for the  towns of Altoona and Buffalo Kansas on 75 Highway.
