USD 248 is 3A school located in Girard, Kansas which has approximately 2500 residents located in Southeast Kansas.  

The Girard Ag Education/FFA program consists of approximately 150 high school students and has/may be offering rotational classes to 7th and/or 8th grade students. The program is a two-teacher program that offers classes in the pathways of Agri-Business, Animal Science, Plant Science and Power, Structure and Technology. The focus of this position will be Ag business/Ag. Communication, Horticulture, Introduction to Agriculture/Ag Tech. and Animal Science.

The position also includes supervision of the FFA program, which is very active in District, State and National events. The Ag Education program has just recently built or expanded two new classrooms, an animal science addition and a conference room. Girard High School is a one-to- one iPad school and technology is a high focus in the school system. In addition, the program provides a well-equipped shop and greenhouse. The FFA program is located in the Southeast District.

The district will have extra-curricular supplemental positions available.

Step one on our salary schedule for a beginning teacher is $45,650. Our educators have access to excellent health insurance, benefit packages, generous leave time, low teacher-to-student-ratios and a quality mentoring program for those new to teaching based upon experience.

Ag Welding Teacher – Bluestem Jr/Sr High School

This position consists of 2 hours of Ag Welding, 1 hour of Ag business, 1 hour of Ag Mechanics, and 2 hours of self management. Bluestem Schools has a thriving agriculture program that begins with the Bluestem Elementary Ag Academy that is housed in our campus barn. FFA continues to grow at the jr/sr high school level. The district`s store front business, “The Bluestem Mercantile,” is used to showcase and sell our agriculture and vocational products to the public. Agriculture Teacher (Woods/Metals)- Rural Vista

8-12 Agricultural Education Teacher/FFA

Rural Vista, USD 481, is currently accepting applications for a 8-12 Vocational Agriculture Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Rural Vista has a number of Agricultural Pathways in place and is willing to work with the candidate to lay out a schedule that best works for them. Hope High School currently has a full functioning CNC plasma table while White City School has a computer driven laser engraver. Both schools` shops have been well updated over the past few years.

Ag Mechanics Teacher – Elk Valley
