Kyler Langvardt will begin serving as the Geary County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent, effective Nov 28. Geary County’s office is in Junction City, Kansas.
Langvardt earned both his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and his master’s degree in Agricultural Education and Communications from Kansas State University. He has most recently been employed as a program manager for U.S. CattleTrace in Wamego, KS.
Agriculture and Natural Resources agents develop and deliver educational programming related, but not limited, to agronomic and livestock production; agricultural economics; management and public policy; horticultural production and management; natural resources conservation; and environmental stewardship.

Lisa Newman will begin serving as the Central Kansas District Family and Community Wellness Extension Agent, effective Jan 9 Central Kansas District has offices in Minneapolis and Salina, Kansas. Newman’s primary office is in Minneapolis.
Newman earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University. She has most recently been employed as the director of regional affiliates for the Greater Salina Community Foundation in Salina, KS.
Family and Community Wellness agents develop and deliver educational programs to build healthy, sustainable communities, families, and individuals. Programming may include, but is not limited to, strengthening families and individuals; building community capacity; family and community health and wellness; and local volunteer development.
