Extension Agent – Johnson County


Amy Keigher will begin serving as the Johnson County Natural Resources Extension Agent, effective April 17. Johnson County’s office is in Olathe, Kansas.

Keigher earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in natural resources and environmental science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  She has most recently been employed as an assistant environmental scientist for Olsson in Overland Park, KS. 

Natural Resources agents develop and deliver educational programming related, but not limited, to natural resources conservation; forestry; pond management; natural habitat monitoring and restoration; native plant promotion; wildlife and household pest management; and promoting interest in local flora, fauna, and waters.

Extension Agent – McPherson County

Shyanne Jones will begin serving as the McPherson County 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent, effective July 24. McPherson County’s office is in McPherson, Kansas.  

Jones earned her bachelor’s degree in agricultural education from Kansas State University.  She has most recently been employed as an agriculture and science education teacher for Crowley County High School in Ordway, Colorado.
