Extension Agent – Sunflower District

Kim Artzer, Sunflower District Extension Agent

Kim Artzer will begin serving as the Sunflower District 4-H youth development extension agent, effective April 13. Sunflower District has extension offices in Goodland, Sharon Springs, and St. Francis, Kansas. Artzer’s primary office is in Goodland.

4-H youth development agents develop and deliver educational programs for school-aged youth.  This includes supporting community clubs, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, volunteer management, and outreach to create new program opportunities with new and existing community partners.

Artzer earned both her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and her master’s degree in instructional technology from Fort Hays State University. She has most recently been employed as a professional learning senior specialist for Apple Inc.

Extension Agent – Barber County

Barber County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent

Justin Goodno, Barber County Extension Agent

Justin Goodno began serving as the Barber County agriculture and natural resources extension agent on Jan 5. Barber County’s extension office is in Medicine Lodge, Kansas.

Goodno earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture business from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He was most recently employed as an executive account manager for Sierra Cargill Marketing + Creative.

Agriculture and natural resources agents develop and deliver educational programming related, but not limited, to agronomic and livestock production; agricultural economics; management and public policy; horticultural production and management; natural resources conservation; and environmental stewardship.
