Extension Agent – Golden Prairie District (Oakley)

Jake Faulkender, Golden Prairie District Extension Agent 

Jake Faulkender will begin serving as the Golden Prairie District 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent, effective Jan 9. Golden Prairie District has offices in Grainfield, Oakley, and WaKeeney, Kansas.  Faulkender’s primary office is in Oakley. 

Faulkender earned his bachelor’s degree in Park Management and Conservation from Kansas State University.  He has most recently been employed as a camp counselor for Rock Springs Ranch in Junction City, KS.   

4-H Youth Development Agents develop and deliver educational programs for school-aged youth.  This includes supporting community clubs, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, volunteer management, and outreach to create new program opportunities with new and existing community partners.

Extension Agent – Cottonwood District (Hays)

Tamara Robertson will begin serving as the Cottonwood District 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent, effective Nov 28.  Cottonwood District has offices in Great Bend and Hays, Kansas.  Robertson’s primary office is in Hays. 

Robertson earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Fort Hays State University.  She has most recently been employed as a 4-H assistant for Cottonwood Extension District in Hays, KS.
