Agronomy Instructor – Seward County Community College

We are searching for an Agronomy related faculty member to join our department for Spring 2025 or Fall 2025. This position would be responsible for teaching Crop Science, Soils, Principles of Horticulture, and Soil Fertility and Fertilizers. In addition to the teaching load, this position is responsible for maintaining our 2 greenhouses, farming our 5-acre test plot, and leading a Soils and/or Crops Judging Team to at least one contest per year.

We are a relatively small program housing just over 40 full- and part-time students. Three years ago, we had 12 students in the program. Our enrollment success is due largely to our continued efforts to meet with every local FFA chapter, assist with various FFA and 4-H contests, and attend state and national FFA conventions. We look for a candidate who will be as invested in growing this program as we are.
