Extension Agent – Central Kansas District (Salina)

 MANHATTAN, Kan. – Jay Wisbey will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Central Kansas District as a Crop Production Extension Agent, effective April 7, 2019.  Central Kansas District has offices in Salina and Minneapolis.

 

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from Kansas State University.

 

Wisbey has most recently been employed an agronomist and crop consultant in the Ottawa County area.

 

Crop production extension agents provide leadership for the development of educational programming relative to crop production, management and marketing.

Extension Agent – Kingman County

Kallie Turner to Serve as Kingman County Extension Agent

 MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kallie Turner will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Kingman County as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent, effective March 24, 2019.  Kingman County’s office is located in Kingman, Kansas.

 She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Livestock Merchandising and Agricultural Communications, both from Oklahoma State University.

 Turner has most recently been employed as a paraprofessional at Norwich Elementary School.

Extension Agent – Flint Hills District (Council Grove)

Shannon Ney to Serve as Flint Hills District Extension Agent

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Shannon Ney will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Flint Hills District as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent, effective June 2, 2019.  Flint Hills District has offices in Council Grove and Cottonwood Falls. Ney will be based out of the Council Grove office.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and Industry – Production Management from Kansas State University.

As a student at K-State, Shannon was an Ambassador for the College of Agriculture. Ney has previously served as an Intern for the Midway District.
