Buhler UD 313 is currently accepting applications for an agriculture education teacher at Buhler High School/Prairie Hills Middle School starting with the 2019-2020 school year. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Kansas teaching license in agricultural education.
Buhler High School is one of the largest agriculture education departments in Kansas focusing on a very diverse, comprehensive and rigorous curriculum. The multi-teacher department offers agriculture education classes (7-12) in four different pathways: Animal Systems, Plant Systems, Agricultural Power, Structural & Technical Systems and Comprehensive Ag Science.
There is some flexibility in courses taught next school year as enrollment will dictate curricular offerings. We are looking for a candidate with a strong FFA background and interest in fulfilling the three-circle model of classroom/laboratory, FFA and SAE.
This position will include a 35-day extended summer contract and also an FFA supplemental stipend.
