Extension Agent – Flint Hills District

Jessica Mayhew, Flint Hills District Extension Agent

Jessica Mayhew will begin serving as a Flint Hills District 4-H youth development extension agent, effective June 8. Flint Hills District has extension offices in Cottonwood Falls and Council Grove, Kansas. Mayhew’s primary office is in Council Grove.

Mayhew earned both her bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering technology and her master’s degree in sustainable agriculture and food environment from Sam Houston State University. She has most recently been employed as an agriculture science teacher and FFA advisor for Onalaska Junior Senior High School in Onalaska, Texas.

4-H youth development agents develop and deliver educational programs for school-aged youth.  This includes supporting community clubs, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, volunteer management, and outreach to create new program opportunities with new and existing community partners.
