Agriculture Teacher – Herington High School

*This is for a second teacher. The position did not fill from last year.

The ag department is a two teacher program that offers the Comprehensive Ag, PST, and Animal Science Pathway. There are two classrooms, a welding shop, a wood shop, and community garden on the facility. Classes currently offered are: Animal Science, Advanced Animal Science, Plant and Soil Science, Ag Business, Ag Structures, Ag Mechanics, Welding 1 and 2, Ag Fabrication, Ag Science, Ag Leadership & Communications, and 8th Grade Ag Explorations. Herington Schools are located on the edge of town with several Ag Businesses to support the local chapter. Herington is 45 minutes from Manhattan and 1 hour from Salina.

Salary Information

Current base salary is $39,800.

Extended Contract: 15 additional days at daily rate pay
