Ashtyn Humphreys and Megan Vrbka will begin serving as Meadowlark District 4-H youth development extension agents, effective June 8. Meadowlark District has extension offices in Holton, Oskaloosa, and Seneca, Kansas. Humphreys’s primary office is in Oskaloosa and Vrbka’s primary office is in Holton.
Humphreys earned her bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and her master’s degree in agricultural education and leadership from Oklahoma State University. She has most recently been employed as a graduate teaching assistant for the Oklahoma State University Department of Agricultural Education, Communications, and Leadership in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Vrbka earned her bachelor’s degree in agricultural education from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She has most recently been employed as an agricultural education teacher and FFA advisor for Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Public Schools in Humbolt, Nebraska.
4-H youth development agents develop and deliver educational programs for school-aged youth. This includes supporting community clubs, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, volunteer management, and outreach to create new program opportunities with new and existing community partners.
