Extension Agent – Wild West District (Liberal, Hugoton, Sublette)

Devin Ramsey to Serve as Wild West District Extension Agent

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Devin Ramsey will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Wild West District as a 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent, effective February 23, 2020.  Wild West District has offices in Hugoton, Liberal, and Sublette, Kansas.  Devin’s primary office will be in Hugoton, Kansas.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas State University.

Ramsey has most recently been employed as a 4-H Program Assistant in the Marais des Cygnes District of K-State Research and Extension.  Prior to working for KSRE, Devin was a Substitute Special Education Teacher/Paraprofessional for the Three Lakes Educational Cooperative in Lyndon, Kansas.

Extension Agent – Wabaunsee County

Stephanie Melhus (Kramer) to Serve as Wabaunsee County Extension Agent

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Stephanie Melhus will begin serving as the Wabaunsee County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent, effective January 26, 2020. Wabaunsee County’s office is located in Alma, Kansas.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness from Kansas State University.

Smith has most recently been employed as an Agriculture and Natural Resources/4-H Youth Development Extension Agent in Rawlins County, KS.  Prior to working with KSRE, she was an Operations Specialist for Farmers Bank & Trust in Atwood, KS.

Extension Agent – Wyandotte County

Jessie Carr to Serve as Wyandotte County Extension Agent

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Jessie Carr will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Wyandotte County as a 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent, effective January 12, 2020.  Wyandotte County’s office is located in Kansas City, Kansas.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Services and in Global Food Systems Leadership from Kansas State University.

Carr has most recently been employed as an Intern for K-State’s Center for Engagement and Community Development, an Admissions Representative for K-State’s Global Campus, and a Class Leader for K-State’s Staley School of Leadership Studies in Manhattan, Kansas.

 

Extension Agent – Sedgwick County

Michelle Simmons to Serve as Sedgwick County Extension Agent

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Michelle Simmons will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Sedgwick County as a 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent, effective November 03, 2019.  Sedgwick County’s office is located in Wichita, Kansas.

She earned both her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and her master’s degree in Agriculture and Extension Education from Utah State University.

Simmons has most recently been employed as a 4-H Educator for Utah State University’s Extension office in Duchesne County.
