Barnes- Hanover-Linn, USD223 is currently accepting applications for a 7-12 Vo-Ag/Industrial Arts Teacher at Hanover Public School for the 2023-2024 school year.   Candidates must hold a current or be eligible to obtain Kansas teaching license. Salary will be determined upon the individual`s experience and the position will remain open until filled. Agriculture Teacher – Pratt High School

Pratt High School has a strong Ag/FFA program and a supportive board of education. Our shop facilities are top notch and we have an excellent partnership with Pratt Community College. This position supports multiple electives to provide two pathways at the HS level. Ideally, a prospective candidate would also be able to teach welding.

Salary Information

Base salary is $42,350 plus up to $9,000 for Health Insurance. With 5-10 years of experience, we rank in the top 20% of the state in compensation.

Agriculture Teacher – Kiowa County (Greensburg)

USD 422 Kiowa County is seeking a gr. 7-12 Agricultural Education teacher and an FFA Advisor. This is a young program with dedicated students and FFA members. The facilities for the agricultural educator are a science lab in the high school, food science kitchen, and the north portion of a combined woods and metals shop.

The classes currently taught in this department are: Agriscience, Animal Science, Welding, Food Science, and Junior High Exploratory Agriculture. CASE and other curriculum trainings are encouraged before and after hire date.

Extension Agent – Golden Prairie District (Oakley)

Jake Faulkender, Golden Prairie District Extension Agent

Jake Faulkender will begin serving as the Golden Prairie District 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent, effective Jan 9. Golden Prairie District has offices in Grainfield, Oakley, and WaKeeney, Kansas. Faulkender’s primary office is in Oakley.

Faulkender earned his bachelor’s degree in Park Management and Conservation from Kansas State University. He has most recently been employed as a camp counselor for Rock Springs Ranch in Junction City, KS.

4-H Youth Development Agents develop and deliver educational programs for school-aged youth. This includes supporting community clubs, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, volunteer management, and outreach to create new program opportunities with new and existing community partners.
