Extension Agent- Livestock Production (Post Rock District)

Blaire Todd to Serve as Post Rock District Extension Agent 

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Blaire Todd will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Post Rock District as a Livestock Production Extension Agent, effective September 19, 2021.  Post Rock District has offices in Beloit, Lincoln, Mankato, Osborne, and Smith Center, Kansas.  Blaire’s primary office will be in Beloit. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from University of Missouri and her master’s degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University. 

Todd has most recently been employed as a Graduate Research Assistant for Iowa State University.   

Livestock Production agents develop and deliver educational programs related to livestock production.  Programming may include, but is not limited to: breed and species selection and management, nutrition, livestock facilities, animal identification, marketing, best management practices, and sustainable production techniques. 

Local extension faculty are jointly employed in a partnership between K-State Research and Extension, headquartered on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, and the local Extension board.  

The role of K-State Research and Extension is to encourage the adoption of research-based information to improve the quality of life for Kansans. K-State Research and Extension is the short name for the Kansas State University Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service.

Extension Agent- Agriculture & Natural Resources (Kearny County)

Hallie Anderson to Serve as Kearny County Extension Agent 

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Hallie will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Kearny County as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent, effective July 25, 2021.  Kearny County’s office is located in Lakin, Kansas. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and Industry, Product Management from Kansas State University.   

Anderson has most recently been employed as a peer tutor for K-State’s Academic Achievement Center and a Tax Assessing Assistant at Four Mile Township in Wayne County, IL.   

Agriculture and Natural Resources agents develop and deliver educational programming related, but not limited, to agronomic and livestock production, agricultural economics, management and public policy, horticultural production and management, natural resources conservation, and environmental stewardship.

Extension Agent- Johnson County (Olathe)

Juju Wellemeyer to Serve as Johnson County Extension Agent 

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Juju will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Johnson County as a Natural Resources and Mid/Small-Scale Agriculture Extension Agent, effective May 30, 2021.  Johnson County’s office is located in Olathe, Kansas. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Wichita State University and her master’s degree in Biology from Tennessee Technological University.   

Wellemeyer has most recently been employed as an Aquatic Resource Scientist for the Missouri Department of Conservation.
