Hallie Anderson to Serve as Kearny County Extension Agent
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Hallie will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Kearny County as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent, effective July 25, 2021. Kearny County’s office is located in Lakin, Kansas.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and Industry, Product Management from Kansas State University.
Anderson has most recently been employed as a peer tutor for K-State’s Academic Achievement Center and a Tax Assessing Assistant at Four Mile Township in Wayne County, IL.
Agriculture and Natural Resources agents develop and deliver educational programming related, but not limited, to agronomic and livestock production, agricultural economics, management and public policy, horticultural production and management, natural resources conservation, and environmental stewardship.
Local extension faculty are jointly employed in a partnership between K-State Research and Extension, headquartered on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, and the local Extension board.
The role of K-State Research and Extension is to encourage the adoption of research-based information to improve the quality of life for Kansans. K-State Research and Extension is the short name for the Kansas State University Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service.
