Holton High School has a tradition rich agriculture education department and FFA Chapter playing a big role in our school and community for the past 90 years. The department offers agriculture education classes (8-12) in the Diversified Ag Science Pathway. Course offerings include Agriscience courses as well as Agricultural Mechanics, Ag Welding, and 8th grade Exploratory Agriculture. Holton is a 3A school located in Northeast Kansas. The FFA chapter is a member of the Northeast FFA District and the school is a member of the very competitive Big East League.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong teaching and FFA background plus should possess an interest in fulfilling the three circle model of classroom/laboratory, FFA and SAE. This position will include an FFA supplemental stipend of 12% and 10 day extended contract. The program has a $250,000 permanent endowment established at the Kansas FFA Foundation to support enriching student leadership development and hands on learning opportunities. Coaching and additional activity sponsorships are available.
