Chelsea Bartels to serve as Flint Hills District Extension Agent
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Chelsea Bartels will join the staff of K-State Research and Extension – Flint Hills District as a Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent, effective November 01, 2021. Flint Hills District has offices in Council Grove and Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. Bartels’ primary office is in Cottonwood Falls.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas State University.
Bartels has most recently been employed as an office assistant for Koch Construction Specialties in Cottonwood Falls, KS.
The role of K-State Research and Extension is to encourage the adoption of research-based information to improve the quality of life for Kansans. K-State Research and Extension is the short name for the Kansas State University Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service.
Agriculture and Natural Resources agents develop and deliver educational programming related, but not limited, to agronomic and livestock production, agricultural economics, management and public policy, horticultural production and management, natural resources conservation, and environmental stewardship.
Local extension faculty are jointly employed in a partnership between K-State Research and Extension, headquartered on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, and the local Extension board.
